Pick winners round by round to crown your champion
Round 1
Round 1
The NBA Playoffs feature 16 teams, eight from each conference, seeded by regular-season record. The bracket follows a traditional format: Round 1 features four best-of-seven series per conference, with the 1-seed facing the 8-seed, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, and 4 vs 5. Winners advance to the Conference Semifinals, then the Conference Finals, and ultimately the NBA Finals where the Eastern Conference champion faces the Western Conference champion for the Larry O'Brien Trophy. Home-court advantage throughout the playoffs goes to the team with the better regular-season record.
Our simulator auto-seeds teams based on current team standings. Click on any team in a matchup to pick them as the winner. That team automatically advances to the next round. Change your mind? Historically, higher seeds win their first-round matchups the majority of the time, but upsets happen every year. The 8-over-1 upset is rare but memorable. When filling out your bracket, consider factors like team health, recent form, head-to-head records, and playoff experience. Check our power rankings and advanced stats to make informed picks.
Teams are seeded 1 through 8 in each conference based on their regular-season win-loss record. The 1-seed has the best record, and matchups pair the top seed against the bottom seed (1v8, 2v7, 3v6, 4v5). Our simulator pulls live standings data to keep seedings current throughout the season.
