Check if a trade works under NBA salary matching rules (125% + $100K threshold)

Add players to both sides
The Trade Checker verifies whether a proposed NBA trade works under the league's salary matching rules. Teams over the salary cap must send back at least 75% of the salary they receive (the 125% + $100K rule). This tool uses estimated salaries based on player stats to simulate the salary matching check.
In addition to the salary check, the tool shows a stat comparison so you can evaluate who wins the trade on the court. Compare average scoring, rebounding, assists, defense, and age between the two sides to see which team gets the better deal.
For teams over the salary cap, outgoing salary in a trade must be within 125% plus $100,000 of incoming salary. Teams under the cap can absorb players into their cap space without matching.
No, salaries are estimated from player stats using our Salary Calculator formula. Real salary data requires a paid NBA API subscription.
